British Cinemas will Screen 'Alice'

PopOne of Britain’s largest entertainment companies has reached an agreement with Disney to screen “Alice in Wonderland.” Vue Entertainment and Britain’s Odeon Cinemas considered boycotting the film due to the advance DVD release date, which they feared would harm ticket sales. Disney originally advanced the release date to help declining DVD sales. Though they did not alter the date, Disney assured that the advancement would be more the exception than the rule, an insider told the L.A. Times. Vue has agreed to screen “Alice” at all of its 69 cinemas.
