Casting Problems Delay New Pilots

MirrenNBC is holding off on production of a new show due to casting difficulties. “Prime Suspects” is based on the award winning BBC series “Without a Trace,” originally starring Helen Mirren. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC executives failed to cast the lead in the new show and decided to postpone the pilot until June. This is the second series this season to be shelved cue to casting difficulties, following ABC’s “Women Are Crazy, Men Are Stupid.”
