‘Little Prince’ Planned for 3D Film Release

0222_SaintExupery Onyx Films’ Aton Soumache and Dimitri Rassam are planning a 3D animated film adaptation of the “The Little Prince,” the tale about the relationship of a pilot and a little boy with magical powers written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. The film will follow closely to the novella and is set to begin production in early 2011. Saint-Exupery’s great-nephew Oliver d’Agay will advise producers, while Onyx is attempting to secure an international voice cast for the film. A developing animated series, loosely based on the book, is also planned.
