Pilot 'Smash' Picked Up; Ferrell to Get Mark Twain Prize

Will • NBC has picked up the musical comedy "Smash," which centers on the making of a Broadway show, a source told The New York Times. The series is likely to be filmed in New York, which could lead to some work for city actors.

• Yale University has decided to open its entire digital image collection to the public for free, making it the first Ivy League institution to embrace open access. 250,000 images are currently available, but it will take years until the entire collection is online, according to The New York Times. There are no limits on the use of the images and no licensing requirements. Your move, Harvard.
