Woody Allen Broadway-Bound; Dish Names New CEO
• "Relatively Speaking," three one-act plays by Ethan Coen, Elaine May, and Woody Allen are opening on Broadway this October. John Turturro will direct the production. The New York Times has the story.
• Dish Network has a new president and chief executive named Joe Clayton. He recently spoke to The Washington Post about his strategy and the future.
• The Hollywood Reporter said Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 3D" will be released in a record 402 Imax screens internationally. Could that be too much Johnny Depp? Never.
• 2011 will have 27 sequels. Roger Ebert wrote in Newsweek that all these franchises may permanently alter what's in theaters. Also, look for Ebert's follow-up article next summer.
